Dutch mills

Mills are icons of Dutch culture. For a century the foundation De Hollandse Molen (The Dutch Mill) aims to preserve old mills and keep them going.

Because of this anniversary Airport Library presents old drawings, engravings and photos of a variety of mills from the collection of the foundation. There is also a fine scale model of an 18th century mustard mill.

For the many children visiting the library at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol there is an active way to get acquinted with Dutch mills by means of colouring books and pictures.
